Ekphrastic poetry uses a work of visual art as a literary device. I’m excited to announce I will be presenting my ekphrastic poem, Capricorn Love, next Tuesday @blackfish_gallery for a kickoff event of the Portland Book Festival! Although I’m a published writer, my forays into poetry were previously limited to angst-ridden verse written during my teenage years 🤣 Nonetheless, Capricorn Love was composed quickly @sitkacenter, inspired by a sculpture on their campus.
