Kaplan Publishing has released New Lives: Nurse’s Stories about Caring for Babies, edited by Kathleen Huggins. The anthology includes two short stories by Julianna Paradisi RN, Icarus Again and Voyagers. The book is available in stores and on-line through Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble, and Target. I encourage you to shop locally and buy it at Powells Bookstore if you live in or visit Portland.
Most of the text of Icarus Again can be read in the Preview. You can find it at:

in the table of contents or on page 121.
I loved Lucas. He was my PDX cat-friend. Portland won’t be quite the same without Lucas.
His Nebraska ‘cousins’ are wearing little black bands on their left legs in memory of him. Signed, Mary, Middie, Stripes, Circles, Dusty, Snow, Miss Fluffy and Shotsky (dog cousin).
